How Walksy started

Walksy began with a mother-daughter team and a shared obsession with independent travel and walking tours. After dozens of tours across 40+ countries, they kept wishing for a smarter way to explore—on your own schedule, at your own pace, and in your language.

They imagined curated walking tours you could start anytime, anywhere: free AI tours in cities large and small, premium tours from local experts, and none of the chaos of scheduled group walks. Walksy is that app—GPS-guided tours, narration in 75+ languages and localities, and What's That? when something catches your eye along the way.
